Media Release – 12 August 2011

The International Cricket Hall of Fame, located in the heart of Bowral, will be hosting a fantastic program of events to celebrate what would have been Sir Donald Bradman’s 103rd birthday on Saturday 27 August.

Bradman Foundation Executive Director Rina Hore is thrilled to announce that former Australian player Stuart Clark will be a special guest for the day and he will be accompanied by some of the Sydney 6ers players taking part in the recently announced Big Bash League set to start this summer.

“The 6ers are using the occasion to meet and greet fans of the game and, very much in the spirit of Sir Donald, they will share some of their skills and knowledge with young players,” Ms Hore said.
The 6ers will host a cricket skills refresher for junior players on Bradman Oval at 1pm, followed by a photo and autograph session and a Q&A session about the new Big Bash League.

And in honour of Sir Donald Bradman, The International Cricket Hall of Fame will be offering a birthday treat of special offers for admission. Children aged 5 – 15 can get all day entry, a commemorative mini bat and a one hour cricket skills refresher with Stuart Clark and the Sydney 6ers on the Bradman oval – all for just $15. For adults, a buy one admission get the second admission half price special offer is also available on the day while concessions continue to receive a 30% discount on the standard adult price of admission.
