Kids. You gotta love them. With their funny antics and endless energy, they certainly bring the fun to those around them. Well, next weekend Canberra’s Old Bus Depot Markets bring the fun at their annual Kids in the Shed event. Taking place on Sunday 11 June, the kids are really going to love it.

“Young kids, older kids, parents, grandparents – they’re all going to love Kids in the Shed” said Old Bus Depot Markets’ Director, Anthony Niravong.

“New this year, we’ll have a stallholder, Chilled out kids knit, who do extra-large arm knitting with kids who love their crafts. For sweet lovers, there will be new paint-your-own cookies from Sweet Bakes by Anora to enjoy,” Anthony continued.

Also new to Kids in the Shed this year is Canberra Reptile Zoo with live reptile petting and a photo service.  And all the old favourites are back including pony and donkey rides from Poplar Corner, Circus for Dummies with Milo the Clown, a jumping castle, face painting and much more.

“There will also be loads and loads of specialist kids clothing stalls,” continued Anthony.

One such stall is Bandicute Designs, a handmade, uniquely Australian label for babies and kids, with clothing made from natural fibres and designed to be on-trend but with comfort and durability. Kids in the Shed will also feature handcrafted toys, kids’ room accessories and artworks.

“And after all the fun you can fill your kids’ tummies with all the delicious markets foods on offer, with treats like fairy floss, popcorn and ice cream. We can’t wait to see all the kids with their happy faces on,” concluded Anthony.

Kids in the Shed is at Canberra’s Old Bus Depot Markets on Sunday 11 June, and is open 10am to 4pm. Entry is free, however some attractions will incur a fee on the day. Bookings can be made for Chilled out Kids who Knit via a link on the Market’s Facebook page.  More information is available at www.obdm.com.au.
