Steampunks and lovers for all things Victoriana will be delighted by Goulburn’s upcoming Steampunk and Victoriana Fair on Saturday 15th October.

Joined by celebrity author Tara Moss, this unique community will be welcomed in the famed Goulburn Historic Waterworks as they celebrate this bygone era. This is the third year Goulburn has hosted the Steampunk and Victoriana Fair, which brings together elements of the industrial age with futuristic speculations in a celebration of fashion, architecture, art and music.

Visitors can enter the fashion parade judged by Tara Moss, engage in tea and parasol duels and try out some unique forms of transport on a penny farthing, Clydesdale horse and carriage ride or steampunk golf buggy ride.

Following Steampunk, Goulburn will play host to a range of other fun events and festivals, bound to bring enjoyment throughout spring. On Sunday 30 October, hundreds of kites will take to the sky in the 11th annual Marulan Kite Festival. On 26-27 October, the Ukulele Festival will bring locals and visitors together to revel in the fun and novelty of this instrument. Get out with your friends and bring your picnic for Pictures and Popcorn in the Park at Belmore Park on Saturday 12 November, or come together to celebrate the written word for the inaugural Goulburn Mulwaree Library Reader Writer Festival.

And for the sporty amongst you, there’s plenty of opportunities to get out and amongst it. Run with the Wind is a unique opportunity to get active and take in the views of the majestic Lake George as you run or walk the 5 or 10 kilometre courses. Prefer to observe? The Lynton Horse Trials will take place on 15-16 October. Or dress up for the Girls Day Out at the Races on Saturday 5 November at Goulburn & District Racing Club.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing such a wide variety of events this season. From the unique and quirky to the traditional and historical, there truly is something for everyone”, said Sarah Ruberto, Business Manager of Marketing, Events & Culture at Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
